Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to influence and improve the development of Generalist Skills in Yorkshire and the Humber. The core focus of the year is to develop leadership skills whilst undertaking a variety of projects related to the expansion of generalist skills (both generalist clinical skills and generalist behavioural skills). The Generalist School is expanding and the fellow will be involved in developing this expansion while also delivering on the School's educational programme. The post is a part-time (0.4-0.6 WTE) fixed-term secondment. The successful candidate would remain employed in their substantive post and would return to this post at the end of the twelve month secondment period. The role would be most suited to a clinical professional working in the Humber and North Yorkshire area, or a non-clinical colleague who has undertaken the Enhance programme within the region or worked closely with the Enhance team. Main duties of the job
It is expected that the successful candidate will work individually and collaboratively on projects tailored to their individual leadership development needs and those of the School. The fellow will work directly with multi-professional learners , trainers and local administrators whilst also contributing to the senior management team within the School. The successful candidate will also liaise with other bodies involved in the workforce and training strategies being implemented, including local Integrated Care Boards, the national NHSE Enhance team, the Yorkshire & Humber Deanery, local health Trusts, community, charitable and voluntary services, local councils and Higher Education Institutes.
