Maternity Bereavement Lead Midwife

Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to strategiclaly lead an award winning bereavement team.

The Bereavement Lead Midwife will work as part of the MDT and play an integral part in service delivery and development. They will provide clinical leadership within the maternity service and individualised care to bereaved women and birthing people and their families.

Main duties of the job

The Bereavement Midwife will contribute to the implementation of the National Saving Babies Lives (SBL) Care Bundle V3, submitting data as requested to the Yorkshire & Humber Clinical Network.

The Bereavement Midwife will ensure that the safety and care of women is their primary concern and will ensure that nursing, midwifery and corporate standards are implemented, maintained, monitored and improved upon where necessary. The bereavement midwife would be instrumental in providing early access for bereaved parents in subsequent pregnancies.
