Job summary

Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS trust are looking to recruit a Housekeeper for the Frailty, Ward 8 at Hull Royal Infirmary. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the team on a part time basis.

The successful candidate will report to the Senior Sister and work within the team ensuring staff and patient areas are clean and tidy and stocked up. Assisting with meal service, liaising with supplies and ordering stock and reporting faults.

The successful applicant will be expected to cover a 7 day service opposite the existing House keeper.

Main duties of the job

To work along side the nursing team to provide excellent care for the frailty patient. Ward 8 specialises in caring for older people and those with Dementia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring equipment is cleaned and well maintained and reporting faults. You will liaise with the supply team, catering team and domestic staff to ensure the environment is safe clean and well stocked. You also be required to assist with meal service. The successful candidate needs to be have good communication and interpersonal skills - a lot of the patients on ward 8 have confusion or dementia and need a lot of reassurance.
