Job summary
We are looking for experienced Interventional Radiology nurse to join our Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse team. The IR department at Hull University Teaching Hospitals was named by National Vascular Registry as the highest performing interventional centre in the the UK in 2024, conducting almost 1,200 minimally invasive treatments in a single year.
The post holder should demonstrate a dynamic approach to their work and who have commitment, drive and enthusiasm to drive the development of our services within Interventional Radiology Theatres.

Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for ensuring the effective running of the department, providing clinical leadership and managerial support in the absence of the Senior Sister, working as a highly skilled member of the multidisciplinary team, practicing a high standard of clinical care and being key to improve the patient's experience.
The post holder will be required to coordinate the department, need to be prepared to work within a busy environment and be forward thinking and passionate about delivering a high standard of care.
