Job summary
Applications are invited for the role of a Locum Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics (Upper Limb).
The successful applicant would have elective and trauma commitments
The job plan will have some fixed and some flexible Pas
There will be a fixed Monday trauma list and some fixed clinic sessions
Elective theatre will take place mainly in the new CDSU and there will be job planned theatre time to perform elective upper limb surgery.
It is essential that the applicant has undergone advanced training in upper limb surgery, especially hand and wrist surgery including, complex wrist reconstruction and has ideally undergone fellowship training
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have a regular day surgery list at Castle Hill Hospital and potentially an in patient theatre list at Castle Hill Hospital. There may be the opportunity to run theatre lists at Goole District Hopsital where the trust is developing a HVLC elective hub
They will conduct elective clinic sessions at CHH or HRI.
