Senior Healthcare Assistant

Job summary

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Healthcare Assistant with an interest in Haematology/Oncology nursing.

We are a busy but friendly team delivering a variety of intravenous, subcutaneous and intramuscular treatments including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive treatments.

Specialist training will be given to the successful candidates.

You will, after training need to be able to prioritise care, and maintain high standards of nursing care whilst responding sensitively to the needs of this client group.

Good communication skills and the ability to work with the wider MDT are essential.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for supporting the registered nurse or other professional in the delivery of direct patient care procedures. They will work within defined parameters to undertake clinical care, technical and clerical duties, informing their supervisor of duties undertaken, and the outcome of these.

This is an ideal opportunity for anyone wanting a career in health care. Experience desirable but not essential, training will be provided to gain the skills needed for the duties below.
