Healthcare Support Worker

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CSW to join the Queen Centre ward 33 Haematology and teenage cancer ward.

The successful candidate will work alongside a team of Clinicians delivery high standards of compassionate patient care on a busy 28 bedded acute ward.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for supporting the registered nurse or other professional in the delivery of direct patient care procedures. They will work within defined parameters to undertake clinical care, technical and clerical duties, informing their supervisor of duties undertaken, and the outcome of these. The post holder is required to continue todemonstrate proficiently whilst in post.

Duties will include cannulation, taking blood, urinalysis and obtaining blood cultures. The candidate needs to understand and work accordingly within the trusts vision and values.
