Job summary
This role involves supporting a busy education department in the Hull University Teaching Hospitals Trust. The role will utilise technical knowledge to ensure our systems, resources and hardware are maintained and continually improved alongside forming relationships to facilitate procurement of stock and digital technology.
Main duties of the job
Write and maintain protocols for the use of physical teaching resources and audio-visual equipment, including setting up and clearing down equipment, and supporting teaching and training sessions
Provide technical and IT support for students and tutors
Ensure availability of equipment and resources needed for the teaching sessions and set up including returning and tidying of equipment after their use
Provide staff training in the use of equipment as required including, tutors, students and office staff
Support staff in the creation and maintenance of clinical skills learning materials
Provide teaching and support Hull York Medical School (HYMS) staff in the use of relevant software and hardware
Manage the undertake routine maintenance of clinical skills and office equipment ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
Maintain up to date knowledge in relevant areas of technology
Liaise with suppliers with regard to service contracts, quotes & repairs
Develop a robust catalogue system for educational resources
Prepare and create teaching resources as required
Maintain and monitors consumable supplies for HYMS services
Administer mandatory student training
Administer student attendance for clinical skills
Monitor, maintain and procure departmental stock and supplies
Report building faults working with internal departments to find cost effective solutions where necessary
