Job summary
2 full time (37.5 hours per week) posts to work within the Ophthalmology Department at Hull Royal Infirmary.An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated person to join the Ophthalmology Department as a Failsafe Officer. The successful applicant will be instrumental in maintaining failsafe procedures and will have responsibility for process monitoring, and data validation.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will also assist in improving the quality and system for the collection of data used within the department to indicate performance against local commissioning targets and KPI's. To participate in information retrieval to support research and the audit programmes.
The Failsafe officer will be responsible for reporting functions for patients within the Ophthalmology Service for patients that are referred to the service or patients who are retained for treatment / monitoring.
In addition, the Failsafe Officer has a responsibility for monitoring treatment timelines for intravitreal injection patients and patients on the Outpatient Waiting List whose timelines differ from the 18 week RTT pathway, plus other failsafe reports.
