In this vital role, you'll manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensure compliance with statutory obligations, and resolve pay queries with confidence and care. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners like HMRC and NHS Pensions, using your expertise to support everything from maternity pay to salary sacrifice schemes.   • Foundation qualification with Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of continual professional development

Experience

Essential

  • Experience within a Payroll environment. Knowledge and understanding of computerised Payroll systems.
  • Experience of contributing to the delivery of high quality, measurable services Evidence of effective problem solving.

Skills, Knowledge and Ability

Essential

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the practical application of PAYE, NIC, SSP, SMP etc.
  • Effective organisational and time management skills.
  • Advanced keyboard skills.
  • Understanding of the importance of key interrelationships between HR, Medical Staffing and Payroll to support the development of a high quality customer focused service.
