Maternity Audit and Compliance Manager

Job summary

Hull University Teaching Hospital NHS Trust is a great place to work and an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced midwife to join our senior midwifery team as a lead for clinical audit and compliance.

Project completion will provide a focus on compliance monitoring and delivery to agreed timescales but also include benefits realisation, review, and use of Quality Improvement methodologies. The post holder will require key business case development and writing skills.

The role will require working across all Trust sites. Travel outside of trust sites may also be required. The post holder will contribute to progressing projects on a variety of service developments and Quality Improvements.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be a key member of the Family Services Division Management Team, working with other Operational Divisions to play an integral role in shaping and implementing new models of service delivery at HUTH to deliver high quality, efficient services.

This will entail contributing to the development of a vision for future service and care delivery to include describing processes pathways in detail so that workforce and infrastructure requirements can be defined. Implementation will require delivery of the different elements that make up the revised model and develop robust methods for evaluation and monitoring. This includes coordination of regulatory body requests and fulfilment of action plan delivery including the Trust's Maternity Strategy, Maternity and Neonatal Single Delivery Plan, National Reports, CQC and CNST.

The post holder will be expected to work closely with the Division's Associate Chief Nurses, the Divisional Governance Lead, the wider Senior Management Team, the Executive Team, other Operational Divisions and Corporate Directorate, to help deliver relevant components of the Family Services Business Plan aims and objectives. They will be responsible for the delivery of key projects within the business plan and effective reporting and escalation of issues to the Family Services Divisional Board and other Trust committees.
