Operational Lead Active Together (AHP)

Job summary

NHS Humber Health Partnership is looking for an Operational Lead to work in partnership with Yorkshire Cancer Research Trust to implement and deliver the Active Together programme.

Active Together is a multi-modal prehab / rehab service for people with a curative cancer diagnosis designed by Sheffield Hallam University in conjunction with Yorkshire Cancer Research to benefit people newly diagnosed with curative cancer. It supports patients physically, nutritionally and psychologically before, during and after cancer treatment to help them manage their treatment and recovery, (surgical and non-surgical).

The post holder will join the newly configured team and will work close with Therapies who will maintain overall responsibility for this service. The position is open for an AHP to apply

Candidates should be enthusiastic, motivated with excellent communication and decision making skills, capable of managing multiple teams, experienced in change management and previous knowledge of responding to the demands of a large Acute Hospital or similar would be desirable

The post holder will be accountable to the Community, Frailty & Therapies Care Group operational structure.

The post holder will work closely with the existing Management Team receiving mentorship and coaching whilst being introduced to the service and will be expected to undertake cross professional management, supporting a challenging yet rewarding portfolio of work with a degree of autonomy.

Main duties of the job

This is exciting opportunity for an experienced AHP or existing manager to implement and support the new programme 'Active Together' providing clinical and operational management across this service whilst maintaining a discreet clinical caseload.

The post holder will be involved in both day-to-day operational management, project monitoring and review and contribute to longer term strategic implementation of the project. The successful candidate will attend and support a range of Trust and Care Group meetings representing the service and its delivery against agreed KPIs. The post holder will also be required to support workforce processes including recruitment/vacancy submission, attendance, capability and disciplinary policies and procedures. The post holder will require a range of dynamic and problem solving skills to support with service wide operational management

Workforce planning and good understanding of NHS policy, procedure and legislation would be advantageous.
