Job summary
An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a band 5 registered nurse / ODP to join our busy Main Theatre Department at Hull Royal Infirmary on a fixed term contract of 12 months.
As a key member of our multidisciplinary surgical team, you will provide safe, effective and patient-centred care and roles are available across all perioperative phases.
In this pivotal role, you will provide critical support across a broad range of emergency and complex surgical procedures, including Orthopaedic Trauma, Neurosurgery, General, Vascular, Max Fax, ENT, Obstetrics, Gynae and Plastics.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic to learn, dedicated, motivated, and possess high standards of care.
A flexible attitude to work is required together with an excellent level of communication!

Main duties of the job
A vacancy has arisen in the Main Theatres at Hull Royal Infirmary Hospital.
We would like to invite applications from practitioners who wish to work in this busy, exciting area. Theatre experience is desirable but not essential as a comprehensive training package is available with a period of supernumerary status.
We require highly motivated, flexible, hardworking individuals, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to adapt well to change, participate in theatre audit and work effectively as part of a well-established team is essential.
The service currently covers 24/7.
