Job summary

The JAG Accreditation Nurse Coordinator will manage the co-ordination of data collection and analysis and facilitate the implementation of subsequent service improvements to ensure that the Endoscopy services remain safe and effective thus maintaining JAG accreditation.

Main duties of the job

The role will involve the triangulation of data and information from multiple sources, in coordination with undertaking observations of the clinical environments, practitioners and patient care in order to inform JAG compliance monitoring, the identification of quality issues and the follow up of action plans.

With an extensive knowledge of Endoscopy, the post holder will identify service development needs within the clinical environment and escalate these to the project lead.

They will actively promote learning to all levels of staff to facilitate service improvement to ensure patient safety and quality services are maintained at all times and that patients experience quality care.

A key part of this role will be the responsibility of assisting the preparation of ongoing relevant quality and safety reports to be submitted for maintaining JAG accreditation.
