Job summary

The Data Collection Clerk is a fundamental role within the Stroke department, working on the Sentinel Stroke National Audit Programme (SSNAP), ensuring that clinical information from patient records for Stroke patients is extracted and submitted in line with national deadlines, guidance and requirements.

This role will have the responsibility for data submission for a specialist database and will support colleagues within the wider SSNAP team to ensure efficiency and compliance in the collection and submission of eligible patient data.

Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.

Main duties of the job

The Data Collection Clerk will work within a small team and will liaise with clinical, nursing and therapy staff for data queries/collection. A key function of the role is ensuring that all significant patient data is collected and recorded promptly and accurately on the SSNAP database, in preparation for submission to national Audit.

This will involve the identification, using identified inclusion criteria, of patients admitted with a Stroke and subsequent completion of data submissions via the SSNAP database.
