Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our dedicated and friendly team on the Gynaecology Ward based within The Women's and Children's Hospital at HRI Hull.
Cedar Ward is a diverse and fast-paced clinical area, which sees a high turnover of patients. We care for women undergoing both elective and emergency gynaecological surgery, general gynaecology and emergency admissions. Cedar Ward also cares for women with complications in early pregnancy up to 16 weeks gestation.
Previous gynaecology experience would be considered an advantage but not essential as training will be provided for those candidates that demonstrate a keen interest in women's health.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of care to patients within the Gynaecology ward. As a registered nurse, the post holder is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care during their span of duty. They will work collaboratively with the ward environment and multi disciplinary team to meet the needs of our patients, following the Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust policies and procedures while providing supervision to more junior staff.
