An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic person to become part of the Gastroenterology team on Ward 100 at Hull Royal infirmary.
Ward 100 is a 27 bedded mixed sex Gastroenterology ward. We are looking for a junior sister / charge nurse to work in partnership with the ward manager to lead and develop the team. The post holder will be a motivated and a committed role model. Ideally the post holder will require some knowledge within the gastroenterology field and an idea of how the service is run.

Main duties of the job
You will be extremely well supported within the environment and would have the chance of working with both experienced and dedicated nurses, and a motivated and engaging senior managerial team.
The successful applicant will play a vital role in delivering high quality, safe and efficient care to our patients. Good communication and teamwork are essential skills for the role with the ability to be flexible within the differing specialities.
You will gain management skills within your role. You will also support the band 7 in the daily running of the department including rostering, sickness reviews, HR meetings among other senior nurse management tasks.
Although predominantly weekday work there will be some weekend and night work involved.
