Job summary
This is a unique opportunity to join a renowned Integrated Inflammatory bowel disease clinical and research unit at hull and east Yorkshire hospitals NHS trust. This unit has national and international reputation for high quality personalised clinical care, high impact research programmes.
The post is available at IMT level mainly IBD research focused with clinical IBD exposure. You will be able to work in a well-functioning multidisciplinary team environment and receive exposure to complex IBD management, clinical and translational research and ability to network with leaders in IBD nationally and internationally. The posts will be with Professor Sebastian working within the IBD service in the department of gastroenterology. The IBD service currently has three IBD consultants, two IBD fellows, seven specialist IBD nurses, three IBD research nurses, two clinical trial managers and two research assistants.
Position is for 1 year in the first instance and thereafter subject to annual review to a maximum of 3 years dependent upon satisfactory work, progress. Funding for salary costs and consumables for research is available for this post. It is essential for the applicants to have MRCP UK or equivalent overseas qualification.
Main duties of the job
The post vary between having minimal clinical commitment up to a maximum of 4 clinical sessions incorporating research. The clinical commitment will be based on the experience and training needs of candidate selected. The department can supervise applicants who have a research career interest to progress to a higher degree within university of Hull in conjunction with Hull and York medical School.
