Job summary

We are looking for Senior Administrators to join our Clinical Administration team, predominantly in the Eye Hospital at Hull Royal Infirmary.

This post is to manage the bookings and correspondence to support with our Ophthalmology Community Diagnostics.

The Senior Administrator will actively lead an administration team to manage the end to end clinical administrative processes associated to the patient pathways, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for both the multidisciplinary team and patients, in order to deliver a high quality administration service, for our patients and customers .

We are recruiting for 2x 30 hour posts.

Both posts working days are negotiable through the week, however will be required to work 1 every 4 Saturdays. Where this falls, it will replace a day in that working week.

The Saturday only will be required to work from the East Riding Community Hospital in Beverley. The other working days will be based at the Eye Hospital at HRI.

Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.

Main duties of the job

Our Senior Administrators play a vital role in the delivery of patient care via the management of the patients end-to-end pathway. Our roles are varied and challenging and some of your day to day duties may include;

  • Booking patients for their appointments
  • Supervising our outpatient areas
  • Supervising, coaching and developing our Administrators
  • Tracking patients through their journey to ensure a great patient experience

With a starting salary of £22,816 pro rata, with increments throughout your service, a generous NHS pension scheme and a fantastic annual leave package (27 days annual leave pro rata plus bank holidays) and offer excellent opportunities to progress within clinical administration.
