This is an exciting opportunity to join the Hull York Medical School teaching team within Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The post is offered as a 12 month fixed term post, usually with one clinical placement day per week. Hours can be flexible around the needs of the service and may involve some travel to other HYMS teaching sites. We also encourage a fixed clinical shift as part of the post.

Successful applicants will be expected to contribute to teaching of the MBBS, Gateway, and Physician Associate Curricula within the Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This will include the development of relevant and innovative pedagogical methods to maximise student learning. Working as part of a team of clinical fellows the role may include but is not limited to ward-based bedside teaching, simulation (including high fidelity 3G, virtual reality, digital table, and 3D anatomy), small group classroom/seminar teaching, clinical and procedural skills (e.g. suturing, fundoscopy, and otoscopy) and examining in formative and summative assessments (e.g. OSCEs, OSLERs).
In order to support your continued professional development, the Trust will make a contribution to support this and the postholders may be entitled to a 20% fee reduction when undertaking courses at the Hull York Medical School.
