Job summary

HUTH invites all current 3rd year student midwives to apply for our pre registration midwifery position. This unique exciting opportunity allows you to be employed as a band 2 for up to 3 months until you obtain your NMC pin number when you would then start your band 5 registered Midwife role.

We have an new Preceptorship programme and recently been awarded National Preceptorship for Nursing Quality Mark.

This is further supported by a dedicated Preceptorship programme for Midwifery delivered by Midwives and Clinical Midwife Educator's.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking highly motivated and forward thinking individuals to join our trust.

Good communication and teamwork are essential skills for the role with the ability to be flexible within different working environments. You should have a keen interest in all aspects of maternity care.

Once a registered midwife, the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of high quality midwifery care.

To succeed you must be committed to maintaining the highest standards of maternity care and be able to work effectively and efficiently within a busy environment. You must also possess strong decision making skills, high level of communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team supporting women and their families.
