This exciting opportunity is to work in our busy Day Surgery Unit within Urology, Colorectal and Upper GI specialties. We are looking to recruit candidates who can demonstrate a dynamic approach to their work and who have commitment, motivation and enthusiasm to drive the development of our services forward.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be prepared to rotate between the disciplines of PACU, Theatres and Anesthetics working ,if qualification allows. Within a busy environment and will be forward thinking and passionate about delivering a high standard of care.
Applicants should have an enthusiastic approach to teaching students and junior members of staff. You must have a clear idea regarding your career development and be a team player with a flexible attitude to meet the service needs, including willingness to undertake Anaesthetic training if you do not currently hold the qualification.
The post holder is responsible for ensuring the effective running of the department, providing clinical leadership and managerial support in the absence of the Charge Nurse/ODP, working as a highly skilled member of the multidisciplinary perioperative team, practicing a high standard of clinical care and being key to improve the patient's experience. The post holder will supervise the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care during their span of duty and support and encourage the concept of team working, team development and collaboration between team members
The post requires 24 hour rotation and weekend working.
