Band 3 Clinical imaging support workers, working across The Humber and North Yorkshire Healthcare Partnership (HNY) to provide a

NHS MOBILE MRI SERVICE to support Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC)

This is a new service and we are looking for pioneering and innovative MRI CISWs who are keen to experience a new way of delivering a varied workload.

The CISW will support the radiographers in delivering this new service. The will prepare the patients for the scan including cannulation. The will generally assist the radiographers with scanning and admin tasks.

Main duties of the job

We have an exciting opportunity for CISWs to assist with the running a new state of the art MRI scanner installed on a expandable trailer to support the CDC service across the Humber and North Yorkshire Healthcare Partnership region.

This service will rotate around the region providing a Mobile service to supplement the MRI services in York & Scarborough Trust, North Lincolnshire and Goole Trust and Hull University Teaching Hospitals Trust delivering MRI capacity at non-acute sites. Exact locations yet to be determined.

You will be expected to travel to several locations across the region on a rotational basis. Preferably working 3 long days (subject to site and demand) you will be supported with travel expenses and / or fleet cars, and accommodation when necessary.

You will be an NHS employee, your host Trust will be HUTH however you will be employed to provide a service to the HNY.

In the future your role may include responsibilities at any sites across the HNY and there may be a potential for out of hours responsibilities.
