Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Housekeeper to join our friendly and dynamic team on Ward 10 at Castle Hill Hospital.

Ward 10 is a busy 21 bedded ward caring for patients before and after surgery. The successful candidate must have excellent communication and organisational skills. The ability to work independently is essential. The successful candidate will also be required to work closely with the wider team to assist in ensuring a clean, safe environment is maintained for patients and staff.

This role is also a valuable support to the Ward 10 team to assist in ensuring the ordering and distribution of patient meals and drinks is sufficient to meet their needs. You will be required to work closely with the Sisters, Matron and Ward Hygienist to ensure the ward is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.

The successful applicant needs be flexible and willing to work predominantly on a Monday to Friday basis with occasional requirement to work at the weekend.

Main duties of the job

You will be required to complete the National Care Certificate if not already completed. You should possess excellent team working and communication qualities (both written and verbal), IT skills would also be an advantage as most stock ordering is undertaken electronically.

Full training and support will be provided.
