Job summary

We are looking for an advanced clinical pharmacist for antimicrobial therapy to work across our trust with the opportunities to work with medical, surgical and antimicrobial specialist teams.

To provide a lead and specialist expertise in the provision and development of pharmaceutical services at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust with special reference to antimicrobial therapy. To provide pharmaceutical expert advice to other members of the multidisciplinary team.

Will participate in weekend and bank holiday rotas and any other duties which may be required by the Chief Pharmacist for the benefit of the Service, at all sites within the Trust.

Main duties of the job

The pharmacy team provide medicines optimisation services across Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill sites.

We are a friendly team of over 150 people working together to help patients get the best from their medicines. There will be support to develop your skills based on the advanced practice framework and we have active pharmacy groups interested in research, teaching, quality improvement, clinical trials and wellbeing.

The successful post holder will work closely with our consultant pharmacist in infectious disease and antimicrobial stewardship and help to advise clinical teams on the best treatments for our patients.
