Job summary
The Cancer Multidisciplinary Team Support Staff department has a vacancy for a part time Cancer Patient Coordinator Assistant.
The post holder is responsible for collection of patient information as required by the Cancer Patient Coordinators to support Multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings and to provide support in the administration pre and post MDT meetings.
The post holder will assist in the administration and maintenance of the Somerset Cancer Registry where appropriate.
The post holder will provide support and assistance to the team of Cancer Patient Coordinators to ensure the smooth running of cancer MDT meetings.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will become an integral part of a team supporting the cancer multidisciplinary team by requesting and collecting patient's medical records; ensuring patient's test results are recorded and available for clinicians to discuss at the meeting, recording the outcomes of the multidisciplinary team's discussion and generally supporting the Cancer Patient Coordinators.
