Job summary
Langley Green Hospital is a mental health Hospital in Crawley, West Sussex and we are looking to recruit a Hospital Landscaper and Pool Car Driver.
Main duties of the job
As a Landscaper you will:
Carry out grounds and garden maintenance as required.
Normal gardening, hoeing, staking, tying, planting, pruning etc
Operate machinery for grass cutting, strimming and spraying weed killers.
As a driver you will:
Drive patients and staff to a variety of different locations, ensuring that the journey is completed in a safe and timely manner, using the most efficient route.
Ensure that the Hospital vehicles are cleaned regularly, maintained correctly and safely and that any damage or faults are dealt with immediately.
You must have 2 years driving experience and a full UK driving licence.

- NVQ2 or equivalent / good standard of secondary education; GCSE at Grade C or above
Knowledge/Experience
Essential
- Full driving licence with no more than three points
- Experience in safely transporting patients using a pool car, with a respectful and patient-centred approach.
- Demonstrable recent experience working in a ground's maintenance or landscaping role
- Proficient in operating grass-cutting and strimming machinery, with an awareness of relevant Trust policies
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while maintaining high standards of outdoor presentation
