Job summary
Applications are invited from Psychologists or Psychological Therapists (CBT, CAT, systemic, etc)to join the Brighton and Hove Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team (CRHT). This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative, enthusiastic and creative psychological practitioner interested in working within CRHT to join our skilled and motivated multidisciplinary team based at Mill View Hospital. This role recognises the importance of working therapeutically with people and their families in their home environment during a crisis.
Main duties of the job
You will be a key member of the clinical team and must have a strong commitment to multi-disciplinary working. The role will focus on direct assessment and formulation of people with complex presentations and offering brief, evidence-based interventions in both group and individual formats. You will work with the whole team to contribute to risk assessment and care planning and you will provide consultation, training, and support to other professionals though formal and informal interventions.
Many people come to the crisis team with their first experience of mental health difficulties so we would welcome applicants with a range of experience, who may not have worked in an acute or urgent care environment before. We also see a range of people with complex mental health difficulties with histories of service use and work closely with community teams, acute wards and other specialist services in Sussex and experience in these areas would also be welcomed.
