Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring psychologist, who has Graduate Basis for Registration.Your goal is to offer intensive support to people, to minimise the number of people admitted to inpatient units.We work closely with OT, peer specialist and carer specialists in the team and have other therapists too.You will work with people with a wide range of mental health problems, their families and carers. Experience in a crisis or ward environment will bean advantage.
Main duties of the job
You will provide specialist crisis interventions for those referred into our service. You will be a key member of the team and help contribute to themulti-disciplinary team's thinking and care-planning by working closely with psychiatry and nursing colleagues. Your primary role is to provideformulation and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals and a significant part of the role is being supported to learn to assess andformulate before delivering treatments. We also regularly audit and review our activity and outcomes, to help us continue to improve and developour work, and you will contribute to this.You will be supported to deliver individual and group interventions, both in person and virtually. We work face to face and have access to all PPErequired to do this safely.We follow a multi-disciplinary approach and you will regularly meet with the team to review the caseload and share your thoughts about riskmanagement and the care plan.
