Are you looking for an exciting opportunity working in the field of Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) including ADHD?
The Neurodevelopmental Service (NDS) is looking for two full-time Consultant Psychiatrists for an initial fixed term 1 year contract. The focus of these roles will be developing a system wide ND pathway beginning with an initial pilot for primary care provider collaborative to deliver a primary care ADHD assessment service providing training , consultation and supervision to a cohort of local GPs and primary care health professionals to deliver ADHD diagnostic and treatment work. The post holder will also be asked to provide assessment for ADHD, Autism and Tics and Tourette's and treatment for ADHD and Tics and Tourette's whilst also including supervising the team's Nurse Prescribers with the initiating, titrating and evaluating of ADHD medication.
Main duties of the job
Excellent communication skills are key to the role in regard to communicating with all stakeholders including service users, third sector providers, internal and external partners .
About us
The NDS is a specialist clinical diagnostic assessment and consultation service for adults living in Brighton and Hove, East Sussex and West Sussex with a suspected diagnosis of ASC, ADHD, Tourette's syndrome and Tic disorder. The service is delivered by Senior Nurse Practitioners and also has a weekly multidisciplinary clinic comprising of Neuropsychiatrist, Consultant Psychologist and the Speech and Language Therapist

- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months.
- In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice

- Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment

- Holds and will use valid UK driving licence OR provides evidence of proposed alternative.
