We are looking for a Matron to join our hospital leadership team.
The hospital consists of 5 wards [PICU, Acute and Older adult] a HBPOS and a Hospital Discharge Team. The hospital sits within the Acute and Urgent Care portfolio which includes, CRHT, HAVEN, MHLT and the Staying Well Service.
You will work alongside one other experienced Matron and you will work together to lead high quality care and governance across the hospital.
You will provide expertise and advice to the clinical teams as appropriate. Working alongside our Ward Manager's, Consultants, the wider MDT and wider trust networks. In addition to key hospital roles, you will work closely with our Urgent Care and Community teams.

Main duties of the job
- Working with the MDT to ensure patients receive the highest quality care possible, including, but not exclusive to, coordinated care, smooth transitions, privacy and dignity, nutritional, spiritual and cultural needs being met
- Ensuring the patient and carer voice remains heard through frequent feedback
- Overseeing safe staffing levels
- Empowering nurses and overseeing supervision standards
- Ensuring that clinical environments are maintained at a high level of cleanliness
- Supporting Staff Wellbeing and retention
- Networking with colleagues across the trust to maintain good relationships
- Complete an 'On call' manager shift as per rota
- Provide clinical and managerial supervision
- Oversee ward budgets alongside team leaders
- Engage in Quality Improvement projects and co-production
