Oaklands ward is looking for 2 Healthcare Assistants, Oaklands is a 16 bedded mixed sex acute psychiatric ward.
Our hospital vision statement and commitment "Is to listen and to look after each other whilst creating a safe space for everyone" Let's be brave, curious and creative together and be proud of what we can achieve'' We value the importance of supervision and on-going training and development. we always have a senior nurse B6 or B7 on duty to provide additional support and leadership.
Main duties of the job
As a health care assistant, you will be working alongside an established and experienced multi-disciplinary team (MDT). This consists of nurses, healthcare assistants, nursing associates, doctors, occupational therapists, psychologists and the pharmacy team. You will be required to communicate with patients, relatives and carers and assisting with clinical duties, including personal care and ensuring infection prevention and control standards are maintained. You will be required to train in prevention and management of violence and aggression training (PMVA). These posts are ideal for people who are passionate about helping others, who are aware of professional boundaries and practice accordingly.
