East Sussex CAMHS - BAND 6 - Community Mental Health Practitioner
This is an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Practitioner to join an enthusiastic CAMHS team in East Sussex.
The post is 37.5 hours per week.
This post offers the Trust's £2,000 Golden Hello or Relocation Incentive for Band 6 Nurses & Practitioners, (pro rata and subject to terms and conditions; please see attached Protocol Document for full details).
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be working with young people and their families who have been referred into CAMHS via SPOA (Single Point of Advice). The post will involve undertaking initial assessments and developing risk and care plans with young people.
You would also liaise with other professionals and be included in MDT meetings to discuss appropriate pathways for young people.
There will be some opportunity for brief solution focused interventions.
Contributing to the management of a team caseload of clients with complex needs, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, which will be delivered mainly in the home or community setting. We follow a multi-disciplinary approach and as such you will provide specialist assessment and intervention with specific responsibilities regarding the acute care pathway.

MAIN DUTIES

To contribute to and facilitate evidence based assessments and individual and group interventions in a variety of situations.
To contribute to the maintenance and development of the Service.
To regularly share and supervise students on practice placement, and junior staff as appropriate
