Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Eastbourne Crisis and Home Resolution Team (CRHTT) and the Haven in Eastbourne, East Sussex, with the added option of joining the Digital Directorate as Digital Medical Lead.
The Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) provides a 7 day per week service to people experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis. The team provides an alternative to acute hospital treatment by offering intensive community-based interventions and gatekeeping all potential hospital admissions. Where a hospital admission does occur, CRHTT can assist in shortening the inpatient stay by facilitating supportive discharge back to the community.
The post also provides medical input to the Haven. The Haven is a 4-chaired, nurse-led, community-based mental health crisis service designed to provide rapid assessment (up to 24hrs) and short-term support for individuals experiencing acute mental health distress.
In addition, successful applicants to the post will have the opportunity to be seconded for 2 PAs per week to the Digital Directorate to work as a Digital Medical Lead. The Digital Medical Lead role will be focused on our new electronic patient record and prescribing systems.

About us
This job attracts a Recruitment and Retention payment of £45,000 structured over a three-year period as follows:
£15,000 payable upon successful recruitment
£10,000 payable at 12 months' service
£10,000 payable at 24 months' service
£10,000 payable at 36 months' service
