Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated consultant psychiatrist to join the triumvirate of Specialist Division, as the Divisional Clinical Director.
The Divisional Clinical Director is responsible for efficacy of services within the division. They will work closely with the Managing Director and Director of Nursing and Quality and senior leadership team within the division.
Main duties of the job
The Divisional Clinical Director willprovide clinical leadership to all professionals and managers in the Division - including regular reviews and appraisals of their roles. Theywillprovide the clinical leadership and support the development of long-term strategic plans for the division based upon interpretation of national mental health policy and strategy and considering the Trust aims and objectives and projected needs of the clientgroup.

- Experience of clinical or professional leadership role within services
- Excellent understanding of effective systems for integrated governance and the management of clinical and non clinical risks
- Ability to communicate clearly and openly with staff at all levels from the Executive team to frontline staff
Desirable
- Management qualification or equivalent level of experience and proven ability to perform at this level eg NHS leadership academy, Kings fund.
- Understanding of national policy and understanding of regulatory framework for Foundation Trusts
