Job summary
Are you an inspiring leader? Someone who thrives in a challenging environment? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrator to join the Forget me not unit as our Admin Team Leader.
You will provide a vital and dynamic Team Leader role and will manage and develop a responsive administration service having responsibility for the day-to-day management of the team including annual appraisals, annual leave, sickness management and adherence to the Trust HR policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about the challenges of a busy working and constantly changing environment, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and to achieve strict deadlines. You will be a highly motivated individual, with the ability to motivate and influence others, suggest and implement ideas to improve team performance and efficiency and will have excellent communication skills.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone who will provide leadership to 2 admin staff across the Forget me not Unit - dementia assessment unit, 3 10 bedded wards
You will need to be able to demonstrate strong administration and IT skills and be solution focused. You will also be assisting with site management, promoting the smooth running of the building and liaising with the estates team.
The main duties include:
- Supervising day-to-day operations of the administrative department
- Provide cover & support as and when necessary; have an understanding of each aspect of the office function
- Hiring, training, and evaluating employees, taking corrective action when necessary.
- Developing, reviewing, and improving administrative systems, policies, and procedures
- Promoting data quality processes and a right first time approach
- To motivate colleagues and champion service improvement for the division
- Serve as the liaison between administrative personnel and senior management, communicating needs and concerns so they can be handled expeditiously
- Ensure the teams are working to KPI's and achieving targets for supervision and mandatory learning.
- Any other duties as advised by the line manager
