Job summary
The post holder will lead the Trust's strategy and response to building housing expertise, creating housing supply and mobilising discharge solutions/community alternatives to inpatient care. Addressing mental health and housing and integrating services and strategies across housing, health and social care requires leadership at all levels.
The Sussex Integrated Care System (ICS) have agreed a Mental Health and Housing Strategy which sets out a shared vision and ambitious plan to deliver a more integrated approach to housing, health and social care.
The Associate Director of Housing will lead the delivery of the strategy, the workstream and the associated plan. They will support and work with a wide range of stakeholders, encourage collaboration and coordination within and outside of the Trust and identify and support opportunities to build on progress to achieve deeper integration and transformation in the future.
Main duties of the job
The Associate Director of Housing will need to work across a wide range of services, teams, programmes and organisations who have a role to play in delivering the strategy and local plans. They will need to operate at system and place levels, across all stakeholders and demonstrate the leadership needed to deliver the ambitious programme of transformation outlined in the strategy. They will represent the Trust and the Housing Workstream in a wide range of meetings and forums and Sussex-wide collaborations.
They will bring together the relevant housing expertise required to operate across all these levels.
The post holder will lead the delivery of the Sussex ICS Housing Programme, including delivery of the Sussex Mental Health and Housing Delivery Group. They will create and maintain effective systems that generate and provide reports to the Trust's Transformation and Improvement Committee, the ICS's Mental Health Board and any other Boards or Committees as required, on the housing programme delivery, progress and key risks.
