Job summary
The Workforce Compliance and Intelligence Lead role will lead the development of workforce analytics, ensuring that the Trust has the data insights needed to make evidence based and informed decisions to support workforce transformation, staffing and workforce management across the organisation.
Additionally, the development and introduction of automation opportunities where possible and applicable to reduce manual data entry and improve efficiency across systems. The role will also ensure post recruitment workforce compliance are met such as visa renewals, right to work checks, DBS.
The role will undertake scoping of workforce planning options and lead delivery of analysis to support improvement projects across the Trust This role will provide key expertise in data acquisition and analysis together with core skills in communication and reporting required to support the People and Culture Plan.A key element of the role will be to support a range of workforce activity including bringing workforce data together from a range of sources to build a central data repository and intelligence to inform action based on one version of the truth for the Trust workforce.The role is accountable for the day-to-day management of workforce post recruitment compliance, workforce information and intelligence.
Main duties of the job
Lead workforce compliance monitoring, reporting and escalation. Work in partnership with Trust Business Intelligence teams and provide expert advice, data interpretation and analysis of workforce information and intelligence using data from multiple Workforce systems and sources.

- Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience
- Project / Programme Management Qualification e.g. Prince2 Practitioner
- In depth specialist knowledge of statistics, information analysis and the use of information across the NHS acquired through degree or equivalent experience
Knowledge/Experience

- Excellent data manipulation and analysis skills using MS Excel
- Experience of using NHS or other health organisation analytics systems Experience of using Workforce information systems i.e. ESR, E-Rostering etc.
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant NHS workforce information and data requirements
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of quality assurance frameworks in relation to Workforce intelligence and compliance
- Demonstrable experience of implementing and managing change effectively.
- Experience of translating local and national requirements into a performance plan for Workforce planning and intelligence.
- Evidence of working with autonomy to deliver own/team goals.
- Knowledge of NHS data sets, in particular workforce data.
