Job summary
We're looking for a Consultant Practitioner Psychologist /Psychotherapist / Psychological Therapist to jointly lead our Sussex-wide Complex Trauma Service.
This is a permanent Band 8c job share post (WTE 0.38; 14.25 Hours per week) where you will be working with adults with complex trauma and dissociative presentations, their families and carers.
Applicants must be registered as Practitioner Psychologists with the HCPC and should have EMDR Consultant status.
We are keen to support your professional development and will support you to undertake additional specialist training relevant to the post, plus the regular CPD opportunities for the psychological professions available in the Trust.
Main duties of the job
You will be part of the Sussex-wide Complex Trauma Service, a small specialist service offering Complex Trauma interventions, consultations, supervision and training across Sussex. The main team base is New Park House in Horsham but travel to bases across the Trust is required. The CTS places a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary team consultation and close working relationships with other local mental health services and community organisations.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Practitioner Psychologist to support and develop the work of the Complex Trauma Service within Sussex. You will offer professional leadership and clinical leadership within these services, working directly and indirectly with the client group, and supporting multi-disciplinary colleagues in working with people presenting with high risk and complex needs. You will offer supervision and consultation to the services and ensure that the highest standard of psychological assessment and intervention is offered to the population we serve.
