Job summary

This vacancy is for part time, working days and hours can be flexible. Service hours between 9am to 5pm.

The Trust is looking for a flexible and enthusiastic a part time Administrator/Receptionist to join our friendly and welcoming Adults Assessment and Treatment Service. The team is based in New Park House, Horsham.

We believe this offers far greater opportunity for individuals to develop a much broader set of skills and to experience a more varied role. As such, the post-holder will work within the Admin/Reception team, sharing a range of duties that support the running of the overall Assessment and Treatment Service . This role is varied, fast paced and very rewarding and involves contact with patients and carers both on the phone and in person. The successful applicant should have excellent customer service skills, good attention to detail and be flexible to cover their share of holiday and sickness when required. NHS reception experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Main duties of the job

Your role will be to provide excellent administration and reception support to the team. Please refer job description for more details.

Good communication skills are essential together with the ability to deal sensitively with people who may be distressed at times.

To ensure the efficient operation of switchboard and reception area to deal with members of the general public, service users and carers/relatives. To consistently deliver a client focussed service, which promotes good customer service and effective working relationships. Also provide administration support to the overall team when required. Archiving, uploading documents and printing.

  • A relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification / RSA 3 or equivalent
  • Experience in a Administration role or relevant administration experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Experience of working within a physical or mental health care setting although not essential.

It would also be advantageous if you:

  • Have experience of working within NHS
  • Are familiar with the use of Carenotes
