B7 Eating Disorder Nurse with Sussex Family Eating Disorder Service (SFEDS)
We are seeking to recruit a passionate, knowledgeable and dynamic Eating Disorder Liaison Practitioner to join our Specialist Sussex-Wide Family Eating Disorder Service (SFEDS). The post is open to Nurses, Social Workers or Occupational Therapists.
SFEDS works with young people aged 10-18 with Anorexia Nervosa/ Bulimia Nervosa and Atypical Anorexia Nervosa and their families, and supports recovery through Evidence Based Interventions such as Maudsley Family Therapy models, group work, and CBT-E. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality evidenced based treatment in accordance with NICE Guidelines and National Access and Waiting Time Standards.
You will be joining a service of highly skilled and experienced Family and Systemic Psychotherapists, Psychiatry, Paediatrician, Clinical Psychology and Assistant Psychologists, Nurses, Support Workers, Occupational Therapy, Dietitian, and Social Workers with support from an outstanding administration team.
Our team is responsible for covering all of Sussex, we are currently based at Crawley Down. We are however reviewing our service offer and provision to improve the experience for those we work with, so this may change. Applicants need to have the ability to travel.
Main duties of the job
As an Eating Disorder Liaison Practitioner you will undertake assessments and support young people and families who have been admitted to the paediatric wards. The role is to help facilitate the discharge pathways from the hospital back to the community or towards specialist eating disorder hospitals. You will work autonomously and as part of the MDT in delivering a high quality service in the community whilst supporting the delivery of meeting national standards.
You will provide support for those in a Tier 4 bed to support the Young Person and their family during the admission as well as on discharge.
You will work closely with our multi-disciplinary team and other CAMHS Services as well as voluntary organisations.

This post offers the Trust's £8,000 Incentive for band 5-7 Nurses & Practitioners as well as a relocation package up to a maximum of £8,000 (subject to terms and conditions).
