Job summary
The Winchester and Test Valley CAMHS team are seeking a full time Mental Health Practitioner to join the already well established and supportive team. We invite applications at Band 6 level or as a developmental Band 5/6. We will provide opportunities and support you to achieve this in a timeframe that is right for you based on your prior experience and achievements of competencies.
The team is made up of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) of innovative and dynamic clinicians who have worked hard to find new ways of providing clinical care to the young people they work with. You will work within a team with a passion for delivering high quality clinical assessment and interventions. Hampshire CAMHS has established care pathways which you will work across, including both supporting neurodevelopmental assessments and individual and group therapeutic work.
The service supports people in their career journey offering development and training opportunities to enhance clinical practice. The service leadership team is supportive and encourages clinicians to prioritise their wellbeing in order to help maintain good work-life balance.

Main duties of the job
You will deliver a range of high-quality assessments and interventions for children, young people and families.
You will use your specialist knowledge and skills to undertake initial assessments, manage duty, deliver one to one and groupwork interventions and support neurodevelopmental assessments, as well as mentoring students, and contributing to the overall development of the team and service.
You will support young people across a broad range of pathways and will liaise closely with clinicians from other teams including Single Point of Access, Early Help, Urgent Assessment and Home Treatment (i2i) and Eating Disorders.

Under the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment Regulations) (TUPE) all substantive Hampshire CAMHS staff who are employed by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SPFT) will transfer to either Southern Health Foundation Trust, or to Surrey and Borders Foundation Trust. The TUPE transfer from Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust effective from 1st February 2024.
