The KSS provider collaborative are responsible for commissioning adult secure mental health , learning disabilities and autism services . We are a coalition of three NHS trusts and five independent sector providers with our led provider being Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

As a vision we believe that co-production is one way we can collaborate with people to help us ensure that we are designing and delivering a positive experience for people who use our commissioned forensic health care services across our footprint and the care provided remains safe, inclusive and high quality.

We would welcome applications form passionate individuals with lived experience of being a service user or carer in mental health, learning disabilities or autism services to join our journey to take co-production within our collaborative to the next level.

Main duties of the job

This post will lead on all aspects of seeking assurance and reviewing of service user and carer co-production across the Kent, Surrey, Sussex Adult Secure Provider Collaborative

This job will establish positive relationships across the KSS Adult Secure footprint and will support and maintain effective communication with Expert by Experience leads and patient councils/forums within these provider organisations.

This role will require an innovative, collaborative approach in order to create and facilitate new bespoke co-production network and activities across the provider collaborative.

The post holder will work strategically across the provider collaborative to embed the co-production agenda. They will attend patient council/forums and report back on initiatives and learning for assurance to the PC .

They will be responsible for developing and training a pool of Experts by Experience whom will support the core provider collaborative teams workstreams and quality assurance visits.

The post holder will set high standards; advising on and sharing practice, so that providers can embed co-production in their service development and delivery.

Promoting and helping with the development of a culture that is truly socially inclusive, and that values co-production, equality and diversity is another task for this role.

Whilst this role will be located in the provider collaborative core team there will also be a clear and vital link with the central SPFT People Participation Team.
