Job summary
We are looking for a permanent full-time receptionist to work in our main Reception. As the Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact welcoming visitors, staff and patients, some of whom may be distressed and in crisis. Answering incoming calls and redirecting where necessary.
You will be responsible for providing a quality administrative and reception service to the site. Working in close co-operation with all staff groups and other medical professionals. Responsibilities will also include: electronic patient record management (using CareNotes), scanning/printing, uploading, managing patient phone queries, managing room bookings, and data inputting, as well as general day to day admin/reception duties
The needs of the service user will be the utmost priority. The principle of high-quality customer care is at the heart of this role. Working within the service can at times be a stressful environment, by way of telephone calls, visitors, daily urgencies. You need the ability to work under pressure, with conflicting demands at times
Working hours Monday to Friday 08.00 - 16.00
We are building a new hospital in Bexhill to replace our inpatient services at the Department of Psychiatry. This means that, if you are successful in your application, you will be asked to transfer to the new facilities when they open in 2025
