We have an exciting opportunity to join and help shape the Urgent care pathway in Brighton and Hove. Urgent care services locally have expanded considerably over the last 5 years.
We are looking to recruit B8a Service manager to join the leadership team within Brighton and Hove.
Together with 2 other service managers and the General manager you will support Team leads in 5 service areas including
- Mental health liaison service based in Royal Sussex County Hospital
- Crisis resolution and home treatment team based at Millview Hospital
- Haven - crisis assessment unit at Millview hospital
- Blue light triage service
- Sussex Mental health Line
You will also work collaboratively with Staying well services (Southdown).
In this role you will have the opportunity to develop your career, shape services and support people to get help for those in mental health crisis.

- This post requires a high level of emotional intelligence- the ability to manage yourself and others in a complex and fast paced environment.
- The role requires excellent communication skills and an ability to prioritise competing demands and as well as a commitment to working collaboratively to improve the quality of interventions and care pathways available to people in crisis, their carer's and wider networks.

- Educated to degree/ diploma level with a relevant qualification or equivalent experience
- Clinical/post graduate management qualification or equivalent level of experience and proven ability to perform at this level
Knowledge/Experience

- Extensive experience of and demonstrable achievement in managing health/social care services.
- Management of resources and good track record with change management, efficiency savings and financial recovery plans.
- Experience of modernising services without additional resources
- Experience of developing and maintaining effective partnerships with stakeholders in the redesign of services
- Experience of project management and imaginative planning
- Experience of managing a diverse practitioner team (multi site)
- Measurable track record in involving and motivating staff to improve performance
