Following a member of our team moving on to do clinical training we now have a vacancy for a an assistant psychologist within our well established East Sussex Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).
East Sussex CAMHS is currently implementing a new and exciting service model aimed at improving our offer to children and young people in East Sussex. The new model would benefit from the support of an Assistant Psychologist in a variety of ways. The successful applicant will be involved both in supporting the clinical groups and workshops, as well as assisting with evaluation of aspects of the new initiative.
Main duties of the job
Your responsibilities will include:
- Active role in supporting group work and clinical workshops run by members of the MDT
- Service evaluation
- Audit projects
- Undertaking tasks to enhance the use of routine outcome measures
- Supporting clinical psychology colleagues with specific tasks as appropriate
You will be joining a strong multi-disciplinary team and will receive high standards of supervision from an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, in order to develop an understanding of key aspects of the profession. You will need to utilise your excellent IT skills, including the use of Excel and PowerPoint, and have good audit and evaluation skills.
You will also be part of the East Sussex Psychology team, contributing to our innovation and commitment to ongoing service improvement and compassionate care.

- Honours degree at 2:2 or above in Psychology, or equivalent. Eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartership with the BPS
- To be able to communicate effectively under pressure and maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times
- To assimilate complex information and use reflective/analytic thinking, to apply psychological perspectives in work in a healthcare setting

- Further post graduate training in relevant area of professional psychology, health and social care practice, and / or research design and analysis
