Job summary
A part-time vacancy 0.6 wte, fixed term 1st October 2023 - 30th September 2024 has arisen for a Professional Development Programmes (PDP) Team Leader to join the Applied Research Collaboration Kent, Surrey and Sussex The post holder will work across the Trust, ARC KSS, NHS South East region, with ICS and education partners and nationally. They will be expected to work flexibly across the region/nationally ensuring a physical presence at the University of Kent where appropriate as this is the location at which the ARC KSS Academy lead is based.
We are looking forapplicants with experience of education management and delivery working both regionally and nationally, familiar with the wider health, care and voluntary sector workforce systems and applied health and care research.
The post holder will be able to work autonomously, but also requires an ability to develop and maintain strong, productive working relationships across the Trust, ARC KSS and with ICS and education partners, being a visible, accessible and authoritative presence. It is the post holder's responsibility to embed this role into the ARC KSS structure and as such the roles and responsibilities below are emerging. This therefore gives scope to shape the direction of ARC KSS PDP and contribute towards its vision. The post is initially for 12 months, 1st October 2023 - 30th September 2024, 0.6 wte, AfC 8b but, subject to confirmation of further funding, could be extended.
Main duties of the job
This is a new role 0.6 wte, fixed term contract for 12 months, working within the ARC KSS Academy to support professional development programmes for health and care professionals across the NHS South East Region. The post holder will lead the ARC KSS professional development programmes working across the regions of Kent, Surrey and Sussex and nationally, engaging existing training networks and the KSS Deanery, managing and contributing to existing professional development programmes including ICAPs, IAPTs, PG programmes in leadership and professional development and creating innovative new development opportunities for health and care research staff across the region. The post holder will be based within the NIHR ARC KSS Capacity Building team led by Professor Sally Kendall, Head of ARC KSS Academy and support staff at the University of Kent and Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (the host NHS Trust for the ARC KSS).
