We are pleased to be able to offer this new Trainee Family and Systemic Psychotherapist post, to be based in our Eastleigh CAMHS Team.
This is a developmental role, starting at Band 6 and moving on to Band 7 at successful completion of a recognised course of study and registration with UKCP as a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist.
We are looking for highly motivated, innovative, self- and relationally-reflexive individuals with a passion for working creatively and collaboratively with children and young people with severe and complex mental health problems and their families/carers/networks.
Applicants should:
- Have a first degree.
- Have a relevant professional qualification recognised by the Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice (AFT) with post-registration experience in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.
- Have successfully completed an Intermediate or CYP-IAPT Systemic Family Practice post graduate training.
- Be currently on or have been accepted on an AFT accredited MSc/MA training in Systemic Psychotherapy and available to start the training in Autumn 2023.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will work within our established Eastleigh CAMHS Team, providing services for children, young people and their families/carers whilst undertaking a programme of training for this role.This will include working with families under supervision from an experienced Family and Systemic Psychotherapist, independently, in a Family Therapy Clinic and as part of our Single Session project.
The post-holder will assist in the teaching on our Foundation and Intermediate level Systemic training. They will also be responsible for co-ordinating an identified project to support the Family and Systemic Psychotherapy professional group.
