An exciting opportunity has arisen for Healthcare Assistant to work at the The Chichester Centre, part of the Sussex Partnership and based in Chichester, West Sussex.
At the Chichester Centre we support people who need rehabilitation and treatment within a secure environment. Our three low secure wards are for patients who have either committed a criminal offence or have significant challenging behaviour.
Our wards are looking for a compassionate and person- centred experienced Healthcare Assistant with an ability to work in a flexible manner to meet the demands and needs of the service.
The successful applicant would be expected to work as part of the team undertaking the assessment, care and treatment of patients experiencing an acute mental health crisis, working in a recovery-orientated manner towards the ultimate discharge of the patient.

- There will be opportunities to work over a 24/7 rota which includes weekend and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job
- Work with the multi-disciplinary team to establish and deliver a therapeutic programme of care for our patients.
- Undertake care duties for patients on the ward.
- Report patients condition to qualified staff
- Document care delivery in patients notes.
- Implement individual patient care plans
- Participate in meetings, training and other work related forums.
