We have an exciting opportunity in East Sussex CAMHS and are advertising for a Band 7 Senior Nurse Practitioner. We welcome current Band 6 Nurses applying who are looking to explore more senior options and take the next step in their career. We also welcome existing Band 7 Nurses who are looking for a change or something new.
We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic nurse. East Sussex CAMHS is in a period of exciting change. We are rolling out our Stepped Care Model which aims to be support our service being needs led and providing interventions in a more timely manner. This new model provides an exciting opportunity to be a senior clinician and leader in this important time.This role provides a balance between clinical work and leadership responsibility as well as work within a diverse mix of professionals.
Main duties of the job
- To act as a senior clinician and leader in East Sussex CAMHS
- To deliver and receive clinical and managerial supervision
- To lead on audits and key performance monitoring
- To ensure junior nurses are NMC compliant and maintain high standards of practice
- To support student nurses and newly qualified nurses joining our team and service
- To link in with the nursing network and nursing strategy within SPFT

- Degree/Diploma in occupational therapy or Nursing/Social Work Or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
- Registration with HCPC/NMC/Social Work England
- Training in the use of standardised assessment tools
- Extensive experience as a qualified mental health practitioner
- Broad experience of working with clients with a range of mental health problems
- Experience in leadership - this can involve leading on a project
- Experience of multidisciplinary working
- Experience of supervising staff and students
- Experience as a Care Coordinator
- CAMHS or crisis experience
- Experience of multi-agency work
- Able to communication complex information to service users, carers and colleagues
